That was the topic around the water cooler today. We all agreed that we live in a truly magical age.
Part of that magical age is due to the existence of PPC advertising. It is true that many people have tried PPC advertising and been burnt. As an Internet business tool, it is as dangerous as it is powerful. In fact, our studies show that an astounding 98.16% of new businesses who attempt PPC advertising fail in the first ten days.
Have you been there? Everyone at the water cooler this morning has their own nightmare story to tell. Yes. Even the experts at our own company were once naive and tried a PPC campaign at one of the major search engines… and FAILED… miserably failed. And lost a lot of money. Every single one of us.
What happened? Did we take a course? Did we read a book? Did we get a mentor?
Some of us did all of those things. Some of us did none. Every single one of us did one of the following though to learn how to make PPC work:
1. Did endless rounds of testing different ads. Endless is a lot. Two of us spent over a year each testing different styles of ads in different markets.
2. Analyzed existing winning ads. We spent time to make a list of ads that continued to run week after week. We made another list of ads that ran and then failed after only a week or so and therefore disappeared. We painstakingly analyzed the words, punctuation, capitalization and message of those ads. We did the same thing with the sites that the ads pointed at.
The result in either case: We are now experts. We know instinctively how to put together a PPC ad that will be profitable. That is the price we had to pay.
Now we actually have software in-house that does that painstaking analysis constantly on ads running on Google, Yahoo, and Bing. We can consult the software when we are writing a new ad and get a score just like you get when you run a free website evaluation here:
The only difference is that we have access to the software live (we don’t have to wait for an email) and we can segment the results by search engine and keyword. That is critical for getting exactly the right ad. But basically, we just get a score and improve it by rewriting and using the software to score our rewrite, etc.
It is magic.
What is even more magic is that anyone can invest a maximum of $1,100 ($1,000 for a new domain and $100 for a home page rewrite) and they are ready to run a profitable PPC ad. Our services to do that are here:
Once they have a domain and a landing page that we can work with to create a profitable PPC ad, we will invite you to join our managed advertising service.
It is completely free (well… we take a 10% commission of your ad budget, but since that is out of your increased profits… it is actually less than free… it earns you money).
Just an $1,100 investment and you are in business ready to experience the magic of PPC advertising.
We really do live in a magical age. Now it’s time to get back to work.
Are you ready?
